- Product Highlights
- After treatment, water permeability and water absorption of the material are reduced, frost resistance and heat-insulating properties are increased, mold and moss growth is prevented;
- penetrates deep into the pores and does not clog them, so that the materials retain their natural properties - porosity and vapor permeability, that is, they can "breathe";
- colorless, the natural appearance of the material is preserved;
- non-combustible.

- Product Applications
- For hydrophobic treatment of the surface of bricks, concrete, foam concrete, shell stone, mineral plasters, limestone, asbestos cement, slate, tiles, marble, gypsum products and other porous mineral materials;
- not suitable for the treatment of wooden surfaces; applying to previously painted and glass items can lead to the formation of spots. Suitable only for the treatment of vertical and inclined surfaces, on which liquid precipitation and moisture condensate are removed;
- as additives in the production of gypsum fiber boards.
- Product Usage Information
Preparation of surface:
- Remove flaking, loosely bound to the base particles, remove dust and other contaminants. It is recommended to clean the surface with high pressure washers, steam cleaner, water jet or mechanically. After wet cleaning, allow the surface to dry. The application of the agent is recommended on a clean, dust-free surface.
Preparation of working solution:
- Please dilute 1 L of product in approximately 20 L of water. Before use, please make a trial treatment on a small area of the surface or a single element. In case of stains, dilute the working solution with water in a ratio of 2 parts of the solution to 1 - 2 parts of water. The working solution can be diluted only for the treatment of surfaces with low moisture absorption. The recommended amount of prepared water repellent solution should not exceed the amount required for one day of work.
Application method at surface treatment:
- Apply water repellent with paint brush, roller or sprayer. Please note that surface treatment by spraying can lead to increased consumption.
- The surfaces that cannot be treated must be closed to protect them from undesirable exposure to liquid. Apply until the termination of absorption; the re-treatment is possible on a still wet surface. After drying, the moisture absorption of the treated surface is minimized, which can lead to stains if the application continues. Therefore, avoid further treatment of already dried surface. When application please provide uniform and complete absorption of the liquid in order to prevent stains.
- To prevent stains and efflorescence, remove non-absorbed liquid (drops or a continuous wet coating) from the surface before drying, by blotting with a cloth or using a paint brush or roller, transfer excess liquid to an untreated dry surface. The possible appearance of stains has only a decorative effect and does not mean a decrease in water-repellent effect.
- The consumption rate depends on the porosity of the material to be treated and the application method, and can range from approximately 0.2 to 0.4 l/m² of the prepared working solution (1 L of product Unisil LS 11K is required to prepare 21 L of working solution which is sufficient for treatment of 55 - 110 m² of the surface).
- Carry out work in dry weather conditions at temperatures between 5 °C to 25 °C. Drying time at 20 °C is not more than 24 hours, at lower temperatures the drying slows down and may take longer.
In the production of gypsum fiber boards please use in accordance with the technology of the gypsum fiber board manufacturer.
