- Nyacol® K-Sol is potassium siliconate and provides an excellent water repellent coating for concrete and many other materials.

- Nyacol® K-Sol imparts water repellency to a wide variety of substances and is recommended for use on concrete, bricks, sandstone, limestone and ceramics.
- Supplied at a concentration of 32 percent in water, K-Sol must be diluted to a concentration of 3 percent or less before application.
- Method of Application
- Nyacol® K-Sol can be applied by dipping, spraying or brushing.
- Always test the concentration on a small sample of the material to determine the suitability of the specific use.
- The surface to receive the water-soluble siliconate should be lightly dampened immediately prior to application.
- The siliconate forms a permanent insoluble chemistry by reacting with the concrete.
- Existing surfaces: This water-soluble siliconate does not wet surfaces that have been previously treated with siliconate or another water repellent treatment.

- Nyacol® K-Sol should be stored in an airtight, sealed container at or below 25°C (77°F).
- Should temperature drop below freezing, a crystalline structure may develop which will not permanently impair the effectiveness of the product.
- When heated to room temperature, the solution will again become clear and ready for use.
- Handling Precautions
- Nyacol® K-Sol is alkaline and should be handled with the same care as caustic soda.
- If misting occurs, avoid inhalation.
- Do not get in eyes or on skin and clothing.
