Hauthane HD-4638 was designed for use in textile applications as a versatile polyurethane coating. Due to its overall properties, Hauthane HD-4638 can be used as a finish or a coating for many textile applications. This product is ideally suited for use as an anti-fray finish on textile fabrics that must have a soft hand. Hauthane HD-4638 is also suitable for textile coating applications that require excellent low temperature flexibility and crack resistance.

Product Applications

Spray or pad - solids may be adjusted for optimum add-on. May be thickened with HA-900 for knife coating.

Curing

Excellent strength properties as supplied. Melamine-formaldehyde crosslinkers, such as Cytec’s Cymel 385 (3 - 6 phr), will provide improved performance.
