Afcona 3250

Afcona-3250 is specially developed for all solvent based systems where slip is the most important factor and foam stabilization is undesirable. Afcona – 3250 belongs to the same family as Afcona-3230. But while Afcona – 3230 is effective only in polyurethane coatings, Afcona 3250 works in all solvent based coatings.

• Afcona – 3250 offers very good slip, no foam stabilization, and good transparency.
• Afcona – 3250 is very suitable for use in:
  • All wood coating systems, such as NC, acid curing, PU and UV.
  • Topcoats in plastic coating applications such as mobile phones and other plastic items that are frequently touched by our hands.
  • UV coatings, where it offers very good slip and leveling without influencing the clarity of the paint film.
  • Refinish topcoats based on polyurethane.
  • Other paint systems where high slip is desired.
• Note: Afcona – 3250 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the performance of the product.

Afcona-3250 may be added at 0.05 – 0.50% based on total formulation. Under normal conditions 0.10 – 0.30% based on total formulation is sufficient.

Afcona-3250 may be added at any stage during the production process.
