Afcona 3230

Most polysiloxane additives that offer good transparency stabilize foam, and those that do not stabilize foam often influence the transparency of the coating. Afcona-3230 is specially designed for polyurethane systems where excellent slip is needed and foam stabilization is undesirable.

Due to these excellent properties, Afcona – 3230 is very suitable for use in:

• Polyurethane wood coating systems where slip is an important property.
• Polyurethane top coats in plastic coating applications like mobile phones and other plastic items that are frequently touched by our hands
• Refinish topcoats that are based on polyurethane.

Afcona-3230 may be used at 0.05 – 0.50% based on total formulation. Under normal conditions, 0.05 – 0.30% based on total formulation is sufficient.

Afcona-3230 can be added at any stage during the production process.
