- Afcona – 2727 is a silicone-based product developed to aid in the rapid de-aeration of polyurethane and epoxy compounds used in flooring or general industrial applications. This is the most effective defoamer for epoxy self- levelling systems.
- Afcona - 2727 also acts as a very effective levelling agent, giving a smooth surface to the coating.

Afcona-2727 is recommended for filled and unfilled polyurethane and epoxy compounds used in flooring applications, as well as UPE systems.
- Addition and Dosage
Add Afcona-2727 at 0.5 – 1.5% based on total formulation. Under normal conditions, 0.5% based on total formulation is sufficient.
- Incorporation
To prevent formation of foam and bubbles, Afcona-2727 should be mixed at the beginning of the production process or application into the system. If this product is added at the end of the formulation, good dispersion must be ensured.
