Product Highlights
  • Insoluble in water, but easily soluble in almost all organic solvents, including alcohols;
  • high reactivity;
  • the presence of reactive groups provides, after applying the protective coating, the formation of a strong chemical bond with the treated material, and ethyl alcohol is released and vaporized;
  • improves mechanical properties of coatings;
  • coating resistance to high temperatures;
  • can be used in formulations with a low amount of solvent;
  • polymerizes at room temperature;
  • good wetting properties, also on wood surfaces.

Areas of Application
  • For the production of transparent and pigmented formulations, as a single binder or in combination with other silicone binders for the protection of metal, wood and glass
  • for the production of heat-resistant silicone enamels with heat resistance up to 650 °C
  • for production of weather-resistant hydrophobizers
  • impregnations and varnishes for wood
  • for production of water emulsions for water-dispersion paints
Product Applications
  • Coatings based on Unisil MSO-M1 dry at room temperature when catalyst tetrabutoxytitanium is added in the amount of 2-5 % of the resin quantity.
  • To obtain corrosion-resistant heat-resistant coatings it is recommended to use inorganic pigments and fillers in the form of plates, for example, mica or talc. For silver-gray colors, aluminum pigments can be used.
